Cheera (amaranthus?) is used as a vegetable. There are two varieties,red and green.
Cheera grown with chemical fertilizers has a very bland taste.
For the correct taste and colour use cheera grown with organic fertilizers and no pesticides.
For propagation the seeds are used.
