Fighting blogspam in wordpress
Blogspam refers to spam links in the comment section of blogs.
One of the first things to do is to use the latest version of your
blogging software since it may contain at least some help in fighting
spam.
Referrer bouncer: A
simple plugin to bounce back referrer spam attempts without editing
corefiles, but it does not keep track of the spam attempts it bounces

Bad Behavior: This is for
targetting bots. You can find it at www.bad-behavior.ioerror.us
Akismet: New
comments, pingback, trackbacks etc are submitted to akismet's
webservice which tests them.It is free for personal use.You

Comment Timeout:
This plugin helps you look at weblogs and close older discussions, and
reject comments with too many hyperlinks or bbcode to reduce
spam. You can find the plugin at www.jamesmckay.net
Antispam: This is
some code to ban some domain or ip address. You can find the code at federico.neri.at
