O order (exponents ,index , power, square/cube roots etc, raised to)
D division
M multiplication
A addition
S subtraction
Parentheses have the highest importance (so simplify the expressions withing brackets first),
then exponents like square , square root etc, then division, multiplication, addition, subtraction in decreasing order.
+ve * +ve = +ve
+ve * -ve = -ve
-ve * -ve = +ve
